High Level Steering Group for Governance of the Digital Maritime System and Services:
Mission
To assist the EC on maritime transport questions (see tasks Commission Decision of 11 April 2016 (OJ L96/46 12.04.2016)
Task
• Assist the Commission in relation to the implementation of existing Union legislation, programmes and policies
• Assist the Commission in the preparation of delegated acts
• Assist the Commission in the preparation of legislative proposals and policy initiatives
• Coordinate with Member States, exchange of views
• Other (The EMSWe expert subgroup has the following objectives: a) To provide advice to the Commission during the preparation of the delegated acts as per articles 3 and 4 of the EMSWe Regulation; b) To provide advice and expertise for the early preparation of the implementing acts envisaged by the EMSWe Regulation before the submission to the Digital Transport and Trade Facilitation Committee; c) To provide advice to the Commission for the adoption and update of the Multi Annual Implementation Plan as per article 19 of the EMSWe Regulation; d) To discuss the reports submitted by the Member States as per article 22 of the EMSWe Regulation; More specifically, the members of the EMSWe expert subgroup are expected to contribute with their expertise to the realisation of the following deliverables: a) Establishment and update of the EMSWe data set; b) Definition of technical and functional specifications of the interfaces, of the authent)
• Provides expertise to the Commission when preparing implementing measures, i.e. before the Commission submits these draft measures to a comitology committee
