About this initiative
For public health reasons, certain medicines are banned in livestock.
Animals that have taken such medicines either cannot be slaughtered or must first wait at least 6 months after the medicines were administered.
This initiative concerns animals in the horse family (equidae).
It establishes the content and format for information that must be included in their lifetime identification document (passport).
Specifically, information on their medicine use and consequent suitability for food production
